Derek was my Step-Dad, due to walk me down the aisle when I get married.
He had been my step-Dad for 15 and a half years.
He went to T In The Park and didn't come home...I found out the day after he died and it truely
broke my heart, I'll never ever forget that phone call, or the exact words.
I can't believe he's gone...I looked upto him more than anyone else in my life, because he was
fantastic! He done so much for me, showed me what was right from wrong, gave me good taste in music
haha!
We went to gigs together all the time, concerts, the pub, he used to come out with me and my friends
if I begged him enough, lol! or if he was drunk hehe.
He will always have a massive place in my heart and I hope we'll meet again.
I love him so much and I want everyone to know that! xxxxxxx
P.S thank you to everyone who lights candles and writes tributes and leaves pictures for my Dad, it
means so much to me! I can't do the pictures, lol! but I will light a candle daily in return. xxx

My shining star burns bright in the dark sky,
And anywhere I go it's sure to catch everyone's eye.
With a smile that could light up a thousand nights,
And the courage to fly to undiscovered heights.
To help and protect me in everything I do,

You looked past the outside, viewing the real me,

BUTTERFLY WISHES Yesterday a butterfly
Came floating gently through the sky.
He soared up through the atmosphere
Then drifted close enough to hear.
I said, "I'd love to fly with you
And sail around the way you do.
It looks like it would be such fun
To fly up toward the summer sun.
But I have not your graceful charm.
I haven't wings, just these two arms.
I've been designed to walk around.
My human feet must touch the ground."
Then magically he spoke to me
and told me what his wish would be.
He said, "What I'd love most to do
Is walk upon God's Earth with you,
To squish it's mud between my toes
Or touch my finger to my nose.
I'd love just once to walk around
With human feet to touch the ground,
But I have not two legs that swing,
I haven't arms, just these two wings."
And so we went our separate ways
In wonder and surprise.

Forever My Friend
The rain stopped falling today.
All of the clouds seemed to have gone away.
The sun shone bright and clear.
The dew sparkled with glistening, radiant cheer.
Upon each flower, a smile and a touch of laughter appeared.
A song came singing amidst the wind so cool and calm,
with a deep sense of security in the air.
Why then, Lord, am I feeling such great despair, feeling overloaded with worldly cares?
Why then, Lord, are my eyes filled with much sorrow and tears?
My heart aches for comfort, my mind for peaceful refuge through the power of prayer.
Though I have perceived all the
beauty around me,
my spirit cries out loudly,
"Oh Lord, I am empty and bare."
Hoping to hear His sweet voice once again,
I plead in travail,
"Lord cleanse me from all of my sin,
And let Your glorious light enter in.
Remember me as I remember You,
for without You I have reached my end."
His sweet, forgiving love flows like a river.
My heart is reminded that He is my forever-lasting Friend.
The foundation which cannot be shaken,
now the renewal of my sleeping spirit,
which has been awaken,
knowing that in His love I can always,
yes always, depend.
For He is my forever Friend-Jesus.
